All-new twin cam engine
While 60hp in 1955 was ample, in today’s world you would be feeling intimidated by almost all other vehicles on the road. Key to our MGA restomod is our renowned lightweight 4-cylinder 2.0l/2.5l engine(s). This Mazda derived unit is entirely reworked by us, to be offered either in 225hp or 290hp. The engine takes 60kg out of the front of the car, drastically improving the dynamics and performance. While the twin cam design nods to the original flagship MGA, this high-revving ‘Frontline Four’ firmly places a classic into true modern sports car territory.

Modern brakes & suspension
Since the 90s, the braking and suspension systems from our sold-out ‘LE50’ and ‘Abingdon’ Factory Editions have been praised by critics and customers alike. These reputable components have now been further developed for the MGA, putting years of tried and tested Frontline vehicle dynamics beneath an all-new Factory Edition. Wooden floors are replaced with steel reinforced items, and additional bracing ensures the MGA inspires confidence at all speeds.

Handcrafted interior
Sympathetically incorporated within the timeless design of the MGA are modern comforts that are to be expected today. While Bluetooth audio, heated seats, and fully electronic instruments were unthinkable in the 50s, they’re discreetly integrated within the Frontline MGA. Each car is entirely specified by its custodian, with a limitless selection of luxurious interior materials, colours and patterns. Our signature aluminium tub seats are tailored to both driver and passenger, providing the comfort to venture further than any 'A' before.

The perfect shift
We firmly believe one of the most crucial parts to the driving experience is the gearshift. That’s why we’ve chosen to use the 5-speed Mazda transmission. Not only is this lightweight gearbox designed to work in harmony with our choice of engine, but it offers the most sublime shift and perfect ratios for cruising and sports touring. The gear lever has been carefully engineered to sit within a hand's width of the steering wheel rim - the golden recipe. In a world where driving is increasingly automated and disconnected, we’re dedicated to putting you back in control. We're confident that the Frontline MGA will ignite your love for driving and is the restomod you will want to take the long route home in.

Bespoke styling
While our showcase car looks like a refined and perfected version of the original, subtle changes such as the modern LED headlights and smoothed overriders aid a more sleek and sporting aesthetic. Some owners may go further and opt for a Sebring style, de-bumpered commission with a Perspex windscreen, which would perfectly pay homage to the model's notable success in the Sebring 12-hour races. Commissions are available in Roadster and Coupé, LHD and RHD.

Ordering
To begin your restomod journey with us, we first understand your exacting requirements and what type of life your MGA is destined for once we’ve delivered it to you. This enables us to draw up your perfect specification. There’s far more than just paint and leather to consider - we tailor the entire vehicle to you. Once we’ve got your restomod MGA specified, we look to sourcing a home-market donor vehicle with you (if you don’t have one already). The build process takes approximately ten months. This can vary, depending on the specification and the condition of the donor vehicle.
